Eligibility Requirements

  • Organizations must have a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt designation from the Internal Revenue Service
  • At least 50% of the clients benefiting from grant funding must be residents of Dallas, Denton or Collin County
  • At least 75% of the clients benefiting from grant funding must be women and/or girls inclusive of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. 
  • Previous grantees must be current on evaluation submissions
  • Organizations that have been funded through the Community Grant Cycle for five consecutive years must sit out for one year before submitting a new proposal.
  • Only online applications will be accepted

Funding Priorities

  • Effective long-term, positive changes in systems that currently prevent women and girls from reaching their full potential
  • Expanded choices and opportunities for women and girls
  • Evaluation tools that include measurement for effectiveness with clear definitions of program success
  • Programs explicitly address the particular and unique needs and challenges of women and girls
  • The Foundation also encourages projects developed in consultation and collaboration with other agencies, which promote coordination, cooperation and sharing among organizations.
  • Effective use of volunteers, as well as board diversity and involvement, are equally encouraged.
  • Programs that demonstrate Dallas Women's Foundation's core values of Equality, Empowerment, Inclusion, Integrity
