Child Care Access Fund

The Child Care Access Fund is an innovative fund that bridges the economic gap by covering the cost of childcare to eligible parents who are currently on the waitlist for the state subsidy, enabling them to to work  or attend school while their children are well cared for in a safe and enriching child care facility. The program fund also includes an on-line search tool engine that helps parents identify quality afterschool and summer programs during the times when children are out of school.

We know that childcare is a vital work support and obtaining access to this care is an essential element needed to achieve and maintain economic security.  Because of the extreme importance of quailty childcare, Dallas Women’s Foundation is committed to investing $3.18 million dollars over the next three years, as part of this innovative, comprehensive solution that addresses the lack of affordable, quality childcare in low-income neighborhoods.
